Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups broccoli florets fresh
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth or vegetable broth

Instructions
 

  • Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and add broccoli florets. Blanch for 2-3 minutes until vibrant green.
  • Drain broccoli and plunge into an ice bath to stop cooking.
  • In a skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Add broccoli and coat in garlic butter, then pour in chicken broth and simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Notes

For a vegan version, substitute butter with olive oil and use vegetable broth.
