Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef or thinly sliced steak
  • 1 green bell pepper diced
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 8 slices provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet. Sauté onions and peppers until softened.
  • Add ground beef (or steak) to the skillet. Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned, then drain excess grease.
  • Arrange cheese slices on the baking sheet. Bake for 5 minutes until bubbly but pliable.
  • Spoon beef mixture onto each cheese slice. Roll tightly and place seam side down.
  • Bake an additional 3–5 minutes until golden.
  • Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Use provolone for a classic Philly cheesesteak taste.
Let cheese cool 1–2 minutes before rolling to prevent tearing.
Add mushrooms or jalapeños for extra flavor.
