Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 lb ground pork or chicken
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger grated
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup bok choy chopped
  • 1/2 cup shiitake mushrooms sliced
  • 2 green onions chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, mix ground pork, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
  • Place 1 tsp of filling in the center of each wonton wrapper, fold, and seal with water.
  • In a large pot, bring chicken broth to a simmer with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  • Add mushrooms and bok choy, simmer until tender.
  • Drop wontons into the broth and cook 4–5 minutes, until they float.
  • Ladle soup into bowls and garnish with chopped green onions.

Notes

Use store-bought wontons for a quicker version.
Freeze extra uncooked wontons for easy future meals.
Adjust broth seasoning with soy sauce for extra depth.
