- 1/2 lb ground pork or chicken
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger grated
- 24 wonton wrappers
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup bok choy chopped
- 1/2 cup shiitake mushrooms sliced
- 2 green onions chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
In a bowl, mix ground pork, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
Place 1 tsp of filling in the center of each wonton wrapper, fold, and seal with water.
In a large pot, bring chicken broth to a simmer with a pinch of salt and pepper.
Add mushrooms and bok choy, simmer until tender.
Drop wontons into the broth and cook 4–5 minutes, until they float.
Ladle soup into bowls and garnish with chopped green onions.
Use store-bought wontons for a quicker version.
Freeze extra uncooked wontons for easy future meals.
Adjust broth seasoning with soy sauce for extra depth.
