Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups milk dairy or plant-based milk can be used
  • 1/2 cup melted butter or coconut oil for dairy-free
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Optional Add-ins:

  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips berries, or a pinch of cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the waffle iron: Set it to medium-high heat and grease lightly with non-stick spray or butter.
  • Mix dry ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  • Mix wet ingredients: In another bowl, beat the eggs, and then add milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  • Combine wet and dry ingredients: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Don’t overmix.
  • Cook the waffles: Pour batter onto the preheated waffle iron. Close and cook for 3-5 minutes, or until golden and crispy.

  • Serve: Serve immediately with your favorite toppings such as syrup, fruits, or whipped cream.

Notes

Texture tip: For extra crispy waffles, allow the batter to rest for 5 minutes before cooking.
Dairy-free variation: Use plant-based milk (like almond milk) and replace butter with coconut oil.
