Cuisine Greek, Mediterranean
- ½ cup finely grated cucumber
- 1 cup Greek yogurt whole milk
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- ½ tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 garlic clove grated
- ¼ teaspoon sea salt
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
-
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill or mint, or a combination
Grate the CucumberUse a box grater to finely grate the cucumber.
Remove Excess WaterPlace the grated cucumber in a clean kitchen towel or paper towels and squeeze out the excess water to prevent the sauce from becoming too watery.
Mix the IngredientsIn a medium-sized bowl, combine the grated cucumber, Greek yogurt, lemon juice, olive oil, and grated garlic. Stir everything until well mixed.
Season and Add HerbsAdd sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Stir in the chopped dill (or mint, depending on your preference).
Chill and ServeRefrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld together. Serve chilled as a dip or sauce.
