Juicy, flavorful turkey burgers bound with breadcrumbs and egg, perked up with onion, garlic, and a splash of Worcestershire. Perfect for an easy, lighter weeknight meal or backyard cookout.
Preheat a grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate. If using a skillet, heat a thin film of oil over medium-high.
In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, chopped onion, minced garlic, beaten egg, Worcestershire sauce, and bread crumbs. Season with salt and pepper.
Mix gently until just combined. Divide into 4 portions and form 3/4-inch thick patties. Press a small indentation in the center of each patty for even cooking.
Cook the patties for 5–6 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and juices run clear. Rest 2 minutes before serving.
Notes
Do not overmix the turkey mixture; gentle handling keeps the burgers tender and juicy. If you don’t have a grill, pan-sear in a lightly oiled skillet over medium-high heat, then reduce to medium to finish to 165°F.For a flavor twist, add a teaspoon of Dijon or a pinch of smoked paprika to the mixture. Serve on toasted buns with your favorite toppings.
