Turkey Burger Patties
- 1.5 lb ground turkey
- 0.5 onion, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1 large egg beaten
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
- salt to taste
- ground black pepper to taste
Preheat a grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate. If using a skillet, heat a thin film of oil over medium-high.
In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, chopped onion, minced garlic, beaten egg, Worcestershire sauce, and bread crumbs. Season with salt and pepper.
Mix gently until just combined. Divide into 4 portions and form 3/4-inch thick patties. Press a small indentation in the center of each patty for even cooking.
Cook the patties for 5–6 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and juices run clear. Rest 2 minutes before serving.
Do not overmix the turkey mixture; gentle handling keeps the burgers tender and juicy.
If you don’t have a grill, pan-sear in a lightly oiled skillet over medium-high heat, then reduce to medium to finish to 165°F.
For a flavor twist, add a teaspoon of Dijon or a pinch of smoked paprika to the mixture. Serve on toasted buns with your favorite toppings.
