  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs beaten
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup pecan halves

Instructions
 

Filling

  • Preheat oven to 350°F and position rack in center.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk light corn syrup, granulated sugar, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
  • Stir in pecan halves until evenly coated.
  • Pour mixture into the unbaked pie crust.
  • Bake for 55 minutes until the edges are set and the center jiggles slightly.
  • Let cool completely for 2 hours before slicing.

Notes

This pie benefits from room-temperature eggs and butter for a silkier filling.
