Ingredients

  • - 2 lbs ground beef 80/20 preferred for juiciness
  • - 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • - 1 cup cooked bacon chopped
  • - 1 cup mushrooms sliced and sautéed
  • - 1 small onion finely diced
  • - 2 cloves garlic minced
  • - 2 large eggs
  • - 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • - 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • - Salt and pepper to taste
  • - Fresh parsley optional, for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with foil or use a loaf pan.
  • Cook bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside. Sauté mushrooms in the bacon fat until browned.
  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper.
  • Gently mix in half of the shredded Swiss cheese.
  • Shape mixture into a loaf on the baking sheet. Press the rest of the cheese, mushrooms, and bacon on top.
  • Bake for 45–55 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  • Rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with parsley and serve.

Notes

- Don’t overmix the meat mixture to keep the loaf tender.
- For extra cheese pull, add more Swiss slices on top during the last 5 minutes of baking.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days in the fridge.
