Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1.5 cups milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries chopped
  • 1/4 cup butter melted

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, whisk together 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and 2 teaspoons of baking powder until combined.
  • In another bowl, mix 2 large eggs, 1.5 cups of milk, and 1/4 cup of melted butter, then pour this into the dry mixture until just combined—don’t over mix to ensure fluffiness.
  • Gently fold in 1 cup of chopped fresh strawberries, watching for even distribution without mashing them.
  • Preheat your waffle maker and pour batter according to your machine’s instructions; cook until golden and crisp, usually about 4–5 minutes.

Notes

Serve warm with maple syrup or whipped cream.
