  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract pure

Sandwich Assembly

  • 8 slices white sandwich bread crusts removed
  • 1 cup strawberries hulled and thinly sliced

Cream Cheese Mixture

  • In a medium bowl, whisk the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and glossy (about 2 minutes).

Sandwich Assembly

  • Lay 4 bread slices on a clean surface and spread cream cheese mixture evenly, leaving a 1/8-inch border.
  • Arrange sliced strawberries in a single layer over the spread on each slice.
  • Top with remaining bread, press gently, wrap in plastic, and chill at least 30 minutes before slicing into triangles.

Notes

These small tea sandwiches can be made up to 2 hours ahead; store wrapped and chilled.
If strawberries release excess moisture, pat dry before using. Feel free to switch in raspberries or add mint for a variation.
