Ingredients
  

Jam Base

  • 12 oz fresh cranberries

Fruit & Sugar

  • 2 medium apples peeled, cored and chopped
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar packed

Spices & Liquid

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp ground cloves
  • 0.25 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract optional

Instructions
 

Jam Prep

  • Add cranberries, apples, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and water to a slow cooker. Stir to combine.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 3 hours, until berries burst and mixture bubbles gently around the sides.
  • Uncover and cook on LOW for an additional 30 minutes to thicken, stirring halfway to prevent scorching.
  • Remove from heat, stir in vanilla extract if using, and let sit for 10 minutes before transferring to jars.

Notes

Use a 3.5-quart or larger slow cooker to prevent overflowing.
The jam will thicken further as it cools; store in sterilized jars in the refrigerator.
