Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 15 oz can refried beans
  • 1 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup guacamole or 2 ripe avocados diced
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce romaine or iceberg
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • ½ cup chopped green onions optional
  • 1 cup crushed tortilla chips or nacho chips
  • ¼ cup sliced jalapeños optional

Instructions
 

  • In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain fat.
  • Add taco seasoning and ¼ cup water. Simmer until thickened. Let cool.
  • In a clear glass bowl, layer the ingredients in this order:
  • Refried beans
  • Crushed tortilla chips
  • Ground beef
  • Guacamole or diced avocados
  • Sour cream
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Cheddar cheese
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Optional: green onions and jalapeños
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  • Serve with extra chips or as-is with a spoon!

Notes

You can swap beef for ground turkey or black beans for a vegetarian version.
Assemble close to serving time to keep layers fresh and crunchy.
Store leftovers in an airtight container and enjoy within 2 days.
