Ingredients
  

  • 2.6 oz tuna without water, try jalapeno flavor for extra taste
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1 egg
  • pinch salt

Instructions
 

  • In a medium bowl, combine the tuna, mozzarella cheese, egg, and salt, stirring until well mixed.
  • Preheat your waffle maker to medium heat. Pour in half of the mixture, spreading it evenly.
  • Cook for about 4-5 minutes, until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  • Remove from the waffle maker and serve immediately.

Notes

I never thought I’d get excited about a sandwich without bread, but here we are. Growing up, tuna melts were my go-to lunch — thick slices of toast loaded.
