Ingredients
  

  • 4 medium ripe tomatoes diced
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 1 –2 jalapeño or serrano peppers seeded and finely chopped (adjust to taste)
  • ½ cup fresh cilantro chopped
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice about 1 lime
  • ½ teaspoon salt adjust to taste

Instructions
 

  • Wash and chop the tomatoes, onion, cilantro, and peppers.
  • Place everything in a large bowl.
  • Add fresh lime juice and sprinkle with salt.
  • Mix until well combined.
  • Taste and adjust spice or seasoning as needed.
  • Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

For a smoother salsa, pulse in a blender a few times.
To reduce spice, remove pepper seeds.
For extra depth, roast tomatoes and peppers before chopping.
