Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz light rum
  • 1 oz dark rum
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • ½ oz orange curaçao
  • ½ oz orgeat syrup almond syrup
  • Crushed ice
  • Garnish: fresh mint sprig and lime wedge

Instructions
 

  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  • Add light rum, lime juice, orange curaçao, and orgeat syrup.
  • Shake well until chilled.
  • Fill a short glass with crushed ice and strain the mixture into it.
  • Slowly pour dark rum on top to float.
  • Garnish with a lime wedge and mint sprig.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Use freshly squeezed lime juice for the best flavor.
Float dark rum gently over the back of a spoon to create the classic layered effect.
For a sweeter variation, add a splash of pineapple juice.
