Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups mashed potatoes cooled and thick
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp paprika or smoked paprika optional
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs for coating
  • 2 tbsp oil for baking or pan-frying
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a skillet, cook ground beef with onion and garlic until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Let cool.
  • Stir shredded cheese into the beef mixture until slightly melted.
  • Take a scoop of mashed potatoes, flatten into a disc, and fill with a spoonful of beef-cheese mixture. Seal and form into a ball or patty.
  • Coat lightly with breadcrumbs. Repeat for all.
  • Place on a greased baking sheet or skillet.
  • Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20–25 minutes or pan-fry until golden and crisp.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

Chill the mashed potatoes and shaped bombs for easier handling.
Add chopped jalapeños or chili flakes for a spicy twist.
Can be air-fried for a lower-oil option.
