Ingredients

  • 4 boneless pork chops about 1-inch thick
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme or rosemary
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Pat pork chops dry and season with salt and pepper on both sides.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Sear pork chops for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  • Reduce heat to medium, add butter and garlic, stirring until fragrant.
  • Spoon garlic butter over the chops as they finish cooking.
  • Add parsley and thyme, cooking 1–2 minutes longer.
  • Check internal temp with a meat thermometer (145°F / 63°C).
  • Remove from heat, let rest for 5 minutes, then serve topped with sauce.

Notes

For bone-in pork chops, add 2–3 extra minutes cooking time.
Avoid overcrowding the skillet to ensure even searing.
Use a cast iron skillet for the best caramelization.
