These Easy Baked Meatball Subs are packed with juicy meatballs, rich marinara sauce, and gooey cheese—all baked to perfection in soft hoagie rolls. A quick, comforting meal the whole family will love.
1pack Italian-style meatballs store-bought or homemade
1jar marinara sauce about 24 oz
6hoagie or sub rolls
2cupsshredded mozzarella cheese
¼cupgrated Parmesan cheese
1tbspchopped parsley optional
1tbspbutter optional, for toasting rolls
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a skillet, cook meatballs until heated through. Add marinara sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
Place hoagie rolls in a 9x13" baking dish, slightly opened.
Add 3–4 meatballs per roll. Spoon extra sauce over the top.
Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over each sub.
Bake uncovered for 15–18 minutes, until cheese is melted and golden.
Garnish with parsley if desired and serve warm.
Notes
Toast the inside of hoagie rolls before assembling for extra crunch.Swap mozzarella with provolone, cheddar, or pepper jack for variety.Add jalapeños or red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
