Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb Italian sausage casings removed
  • 1 cup pizza or marinara sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 pre-made pie crust or homemade if preferred
  • 15 –20 pepperoni slices
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or oregano optional, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a deep pie dish.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and sausage until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Press the pie crust into the prepared dish and poke holes in the bottom with a fork.
  • Fill the crust with the meat mixture and sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top.
  • Arrange pepperoni slices evenly on top of the cheese.
  • Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.

Notes

  • Swap mozzarella with provolone or cheddar for a cheesier twist.
  • Add crushed red pepper flakes for extra heat.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days.
