Ingredients

Cocktail

  • 2 oz bourbon
  • 1 oz Cointreau or triple sec
  • 1 oz cranberry juice unsweetened if available
  • 1 oz fresh orange juice
  • 0.5 oz simple syrup adjust up to ¾ oz for sweetness
  • sparkling wine to top off; use dry Prosecco or Brut Champagne

Instructions

Cocktail

  • Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice and add 2 oz bourbon, 1 oz Cointreau, 1 oz cranberry juice, 1 oz fresh orange juice, and ½ oz simple syrup.
  • Shake vigorously for about 20 seconds, until the exterior feels icy cold and you hear a soft crackling as the ice shifts.
  • Strain into a rocks glass filled with fresh large ice cubes for a silky smooth sip and golden edges.
  • Gently top with sparkling wine—pour slowly to keep the bubbles dancing across the glossy surface.

Notes

You can pre-mix the bourbon, Cointreau, juices, and simple syrup up to 24 hours ahead—keep covered in the fridge at 40°F or below.
Ensure your glassware and sparkling wine are well chilled just before serving to maintain the drink’s effervescence.
Discard any leftover mixed cocktail after 48 hours to preserve flavor quality and ensure food safety.
