Ingredients

Dough & Seasoning

  • 1 tube (17.3 oz) refrigerated pizza dough
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.125 teaspoon ground black pepper

Cheese & Garnish

  • 1.5 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

Make Dough Base

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Unroll pizza dough into a 12×16-inch triangle on the prepared baking sheet.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.

Assemble and Bake

  • Brush garlic-butter mixture evenly over the dough.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border.
  • Using a sharp knife, cut 1-inch strips along each side, stopping 1 inch from the centerline.
  • Twist each strip two to three times, tucking the ends under the base to hold shape.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, until the bread is golden and cheese is melted.
  • Remove from oven, sprinkle parsley on top, and let rest 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Chilling the shaped tree for 5 minutes makes twisting cleaner and prevents sagging.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or freeze wrapped in foil for up to 2 months.
Reheat in a 325°F oven until warmed through to restore crisp edges.
