  • 1 French baguette or small sourdough loaf sliced into ½-inch thick pieces
  • 8 oz burrata cheese about 2 medium balls
  • cups cherry tomatoes halved
  • ¼ cup fresh basil leaves torn or thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze or to taste
  • 1 clove garlic peeled (optional, for rubbing on bread)
  • ¼ tsp kosher salt or to taste

Instructions
 

  • Slice the bread and brush both sides lightly with olive oil.
  • Grill or toast the bread slices until crisp and golden.
  • Halve the tomatoes and toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper.

  • Spread burrata on each toast slice.
  • Top with the tomato mixture and fresh basil leaves.
  • Drizzle with balsamic glaze and serve immediately.

Notes

For a spicy version, sprinkle with red chili flakes.
