Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in pork chops about 1 inch thick
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Fresh rosemary or thyme for garnish

Instructions

  • Pat pork chops dry and season with salt and pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Sear pork chops 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  • Stir in brown sugar and soy sauce, simmer until slightly thickened.
  • Return pork chops to skillet and spoon glaze over them. Cook 2–3 more minutes until coated and cooked through (internal temp 145°F).
  • Garnish with fresh herbs and serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or veggies.

Notes

Don’t overcrowd the skillet—sear in batches if needed.
For extra sweetness, add a drizzle of honey or maple syrup.
Adjust cooking time for thinner or boneless pork chops.
