Ingredients
  

  • - Day-old bread like brioche or French bread, cubed
  • - Eggs
  • - Whole milk or heavy cream
  • - Granulated sugar
  • - Vanilla extract
  • - Ground cinnamon optional
  • - Butter for greasing
  • - Powdered sugar optional, for topping

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Cube the bread and spread it evenly in the prepared dish.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon.
  • Pour the mixture over the bread, pressing gently so all pieces soak.
  • Let rest for 10–15 minutes to absorb fully.
  • Bake for 40–50 minutes, or until the top is golden and the center is set.
  • Let cool slightly before serving. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

For a richer pudding, use brioche or challah bread. You can mix in raisins, chocolate chips, or chopped nuts for added texture and flavor.
