Ingredients

  • 4 thick cut pork chops boneless
  • 8 large skewers
  • 1/3 cup coca-cola
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup onion finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes optional, for heat
  • 1/2 tsp sriracha

Instructions

  • Begin by slicing each pork chop into four even strips, ensuring uniformity for even grilling.
  • In a large bowl, combine all marinade ingredients. Set aside about a quarter for basting later, then toss the pork strips in the rest. Cover and refrigerate for at least four hours or overnight.
  • On each skewer, thread 2-4 pork strips, placing them lengthwise and snugly together without overcrowding.
  • Preheat your grill to medium heat. Lightly coat the grill with oil and add the skewers. Close the lid and grill for 3-4 minutes on each side until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 160°F, basting with the reserved marinade as you go.
  • Once cooked, carefully remove the skewers and serve them alongside your favorite BBQ side dishes for a delightful meal!

Notes

These skewers truly shine with their sweet and spicy marinade, making every bite a flavorful experience perfect for gatherings.
