Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound fresh asparagus trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium lemon zest + slices for garnish
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Wash and trim woody ends of asparagus.
  • Arrange asparagus in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  • Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Roast for 12–15 minutes until tender-crisp.
  • Remove from oven, top with lemon zest, and garnish with lemon slices.

Notes

Use thin asparagus for a faster cook time, thicker stalks may need 2–3 extra minutes.
Add Parmesan cheese or garlic for extra flavor.
Perfect with chicken, salmon, or pasta dishes.
