Description

This lemon vinaigrette dressing is the perfect balance of tangy and sweet. With just a few simple ingredients, it enhances the flavor of any salad, roasted veggies, or grilled meats. It’s healthy, quick to make, and completely customizable to suit your taste preferences. Whether you’re looking for a light dressing or something a bit more robust, this recipe will deliver fresh, vibrant flavor every time!

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional)

  • 1 tablespoon honey (or maple syrup for a vegan option)

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 teaspoon fresh herbs (such as parsley or thyme, optional)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Ingredients: Squeeze the fresh lemon juice and measure out the other ingredients.

  • Whisk the Base: In a small bowl, combine the lemon juice, Dijon mustard (optional), honey, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Whisk until smooth.

  • Add the Olive Oil: Gradually drizzle in the olive oil while continuously whisking. This will help the dressing emulsify and achieve a smooth texture.

  • Taste and Adjust: Taste the dressing and adjust as needed. Add more honey for sweetness or extra lemon juice for a tangier flavor.

  • Serve: Drizzle over your favorite salad, roasted veggies, or grilled meats. You can also use it as a marinade for extra flavor!

Notes

  • For a creamier texture, add a tablespoon of Greek yogurt or mashed avocado.

  • Want to add some heat? Toss in a pinch of red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce.

  • Fresh herbs like basil, dill, or oregano can give the dressing a more aromatic flavor.

  • This recipe is dairy-free and gluten-free, making it suitable for many dietary preferences.

  • Store leftover dressing in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week. Shake well before each use.
